Ring Around the Rosie: Metafolklore, Rhyme and Reason

In this week’s Leap Day show, we feature the Jaynett’s hit, “Sally Go Round the Roses,” about the play-party song/singing-game, “Ring Around the Rosie.” Scholars and the public long thought it had to do with dropping from the plague, but this research shows that the meaning of the game has much more to do with love than death.
